Head chef Ryan Bolt has created our valentines day menu for 2012 and it looks scrumptious.  It caters for everyones taste and the Dukes head is a fantastic place  to spend the most romantic night of the year. Book early to avoid dissapointment and please call us if you have any other questions but sadly we are unable to provide people with dates.

Duke’s Head expands Fritton House Hotel & Fritton Country Park

Joint managers of the Duke’s Head, David Moss and Hugh Crossley are delighted to inform all our customers that as of April 1st this year they have expanded across to Fritton and now run both the country park and Fritton House Hotel with the magical Winter Wonderland coming soon!

The Country park is already drawing praise from many local people and holiday-makers with the introduction some new rides and activities for younger children and there are many more rides and thrills to come so get over there and check it out! At Fritton House we have teamed up with Adnams to pool our resources to ensure the hotel is once again a complementary rival to the Duke’s Head. We welcome you to The Duke’s Head pub and restaurant.

Positioned on Slug’s Lane in Somerleyton, overlooking the river Waveney, our restaurant is well renowned for a flavoursome, fresh and seasonal menu created by our experienced Head Chef & his team.

Market-fresh fish, seasonal game and specially selected meat dishes feature on the menu, with our ingredients being freshly sourced where possible from Somerleyton Estate’s own farms and other local farms in the Norfolk and Suffolk areas.

The Dukes Head bar offers a number of Suffolk real ales, a great selection of beers as well as a comprehensive wine list, which, weather allowing can be enjoyed outside in our beautiful gardens.


Our private function barn is set by the pub and has been lovingly refurbished in order to host a range of special events and parties in style.
